Wrapped within these pages I continue to share the methodological developments that have shaped my work. This is not merely a collection of effects. It is a journey through the way I think, the way I create, and the way I endeavor to push our art form forwards.

In Yogi, my newest work, you will learn my handling of the now legendary X ray plot presented as cleanly and impossibly as possible, using a normal deck. A deck is thoroughly shuffled and handed to the participant. Under strict test conditions, they cut anywhere, turn over the card they cut to, complete the cut, and bury their selection. I look away throughout this process. The deck is placed away inside its box. I can even be out of the room entirely. And yet I see. Without touching the cards, without needing to fish for information, I reveal the exact card they reversed and then tell them precisely how many cards down their thought of selection now lies. This happens effortlessly, as if I truly can see through the card box or somehow sense this information. It is clean. It has the kind of clarity that feels like true insight.

The effect is achieved without any physical modification of the deck and without the need to ask the spectator a single question. You will simply know. The participant can genuinely cut the deck anywhere and turn over any card, and yet you will still be able to sense the precise card they reversed and the exact position it now occupies within the deck, every time.

This is the main routine, but it is only the beginning. You will also learn ways to divine a truly thought of card after your spectator spreads through the deck and focus on one. You will learn how a second spectator after being handed the deck, can deal down purely by intuition and stop on the first spectator's thought of card.

Along the way I teach a pseudo memory demonstration with multiple phases, subtle structural ideas, and the latest theatrical refinement of my Card At Any Number effect Azlan, now transformed so the spectator mentally chooses the card in play, with an additional handling where they choose both the card and the number. More than any single routine, you will learn a system, a way of thinking that threads through these pages, that turns a single deck into a tool that can be used to achieve multiple effects. It is a method of approaching miracles that has been my personal labor of love to articulate in this larger work.
