Another spectator thinks of a number from 1 to 52, and the deck thathas been in full view is handed to the participant, who counts downto the chosen number. The card lying at the number MATCHES theinscription on the reverse of the chip.

As usual, Wayne has pared back the methodology and built insubtleties that cover any discrepancies that might otherwise beintroduced and make the effect as clean as a whistle.
